Brands such has Honda and BMW have found tremendous success by offering certified pre-owned vehicle programs. Now for the first time, Mazda is looking to do the same.

Certified pre-owned cars differ from other used cars because to be “certified” means that they have passed a rigorous inspection. Therefore, they offer buyers greater peace of mind.  This also means that certified pre-owned cars tend to carry a larger price tag than comparable, non-certified models. For many car shoppers, it’s worth it, notes Mazda Maryland.

“Mazda’s new Certified Pre-Owned program is designed expressly to make the process easy and affordable for customers shopping for a high-quality pre-owned vehicle,” said Ron Stettner, VP, Sales, for MNAO. “As Mazda was recently recognized by ALG for holding one of the highest residual values in the industry, our new CPO program allows us to provide a never-before-offered level of warranty security that goes with the value for money already packaged into every new Mazda.”

Mazda will be offering its certified pre-owned program on 2006-2010 model year vehicles. All vehicles must have less than 60,000 miles and they will be offered with the remaining balance of the original manufacturer’s warranty, or be sold with a 12-month/12,000-mile comprehensive warranty. Mazda’s certified vehicles will also receive a seven-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty and even roadside assistance. Certification is something that many buyers insist on, Annapolis Honda Dealers say.

Over the next few months, Mazda’s new certified pre-owned program will become available at most dealerships across the U.S.
