Mazda Gets Big Boost In May

On the heels of record sales of the Mazda3, Mazda North America also reported a 35.2 increase in sales overall compared to a year earlier. So far this year, Mazda’s North American sales have tallied 97,481 vehicles, outpacing last year’s sales by 12.5 percent.

Among the most successful models in the month of May are the Mazda3, which saw a sales increase of 53.8 percent, and the CX-7 crossover, which saw a 55.2 percent sales increase.

Other Mazdas also shined last month, including the CX-9 crossover which sold 2,518 units, marking its best May ever. The Mazda5 and Mazda5 also saw gains of 29.9 percent and 19.0 percent, respectively.

In addition to successful U.S. sales, Mazda Motor De Mexico and Mazda Canada Inc. both saw gains last month.
